Paddle Lamp
This is a side project of mine that I've been developing for quite some time. Each Paddle Lamp is entirely handmade by me with traditional woodworking tools and techniques. The hours of attention paid to design, wood selection, and craftsmanship result in a one of a kind sculpture. Each Paddle Lamp is made entirely, from start to finish, in New Hampshire. A unique creation that will be the envy of all your friends. These make great gifts. www.paddlelamp.com

Highland HardwoodsThis is the biggest and best stocked lumber yard of which I'm aware. They have a plentiful selection of both domestic and exotic woods and the friendly staff makes any visit a good experience. Keep an eye out for the end of the year shorts sale, and if you've got the motivation and sharp planer blades, check the distressed/cull bin for diamonds in the rough. www.highlandhardwoods.com
E.C. Brown's NurseryTake a drive and make the trip to Thetford to visit these guys. It's best selection of evergreens and hardwoods, including fruiting trees and ornamentals in the Upper Valley. They have a wide variety of bushes, vines, and shrubs, and the knowledge to tell you honestly what will and will not work in your zone. Staff is friendly and informative, never intrusive or abrasive. Always a positive experience. www.ecbrownsnursery.com
